Halloween Ghazal

Tis the season for mist to swirl like a ghost quite frightening

And we can see the witches dance and toast curses frightening.

Orange pumpkin cutouts and cardboard black cats post

Upon living room windows as costumed children walk under lamp-post, booing frightening.

Black cauldrons full of gloop and goo as witches roast

Toad eyes and newt tails while they host broom parties very frightening.

Vampire teeth and howling wolves fill the movies with gore and grossed

Plots of teenagers, small towns, and we are almost out of our seats with each scene frightening.

Halloween is the holiday I love the most

Wrap myself up with spiderwebs, bat wings and shadows to be woest and frightening.
