Sunflowers pop from our mouths
until we scoop up the soft yellow petals
into more conversations.
We bundle them together
and place in our coffee cups,
so marshmallow laughter
spills out on the table.
We grab them off the surface
and collect together into phone numbers
for future messages
to blossom from friendship fingers.
