Tie tomorrow as a string around my finger.
To remind me to look forward,
or look up, so I can catch the stars.
Hold out my palms and watch as they fall
one by one into my hands.
Create constellations along my fingers
until they glow with anticipation,
then use the flickers for a love poem,
or a love song of hands.
I will create poetry from the night
and wear them around my wrists
all day long.
