Summer Love

Erasure Poem from Desperately Wanting by Better Than Ezra

The road you called home.

The lights you’ll remember

through the falling.

Both of us wanting

when the worst is over

and ask again-

remember falling?

Both of us wanting them right.

Wish your name

won the world-

a chance you never had it right.

You figured out some things

you’ll never know.

Take the door

if you care to remember

the both of us.
