Quarantine Poetry Day 56-Thin Line

Solid black

Thin line of riot gear and batons

Horizon of barricades

They stand in masses

Gripping on to signs

Hands up

Forming a thin line, protesting

Voices raise up, chanting

Echoing against boarded up windows

A thin line between peaceful and disorderly

In a flash, bang!

Rage and pain erupts in conflict

Roaring violence in waves

Clashing against each other

Over and over

Fury burns brightly as flames build

And tears stream down face

In thin lines
