Darkness hangs on our skin
light vibrates crashing
between the music and bodies
and we sway, an ocean
the tempo a storm, whirling us around
until we crash into each other
I find shelter in the shadows
blending into the black, swaying
carefully in my corner
light dancing off eyes and people
become arms and heads, bodies pressing together
Sometimes, I catch a pair of eyes
looking at each other, glowing stares
smile slowly curving lips, and acknowledge
and we make our way to each other
swaying, blending as music vibrates off fingertips
becoming a part of the storm, rhythm crashing
bodies pressing together, light catches in our eyes
glowing stares as darkness hangs from our skin
