Reading Challenge topic: A book with a red cover
I had read Melissa Bank’s previous book The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing, and really enjoyed it. This book has a similar style. It centers around the character Sophie and various relationships over her lifetime; primarily romantic, but also with friends and family. Each chapter is its own story and different mile marker of her life, and impacts upon her life. It was an easy read and each chapter being its own story made it easier to stop and start. Much like Bank’s previous book, as a single woman, I could relate to some of the experiences of Sophie from stressed relationships with parents to trying to figure out your path outside of college to failed romantic experiences and friendships. A quick read, and just as enjoyable as The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing.
