The Collection

Photographs of weekends spent in the garden
Playing bingo, exploring the city
Snapshots of smiles and laughter
I remember her smile, my grandmother
Spending summers doing crafts, admiring her paintings
And still, I wish I could use a brush like her
I have an old photograph of my grandmother, black and white
When she was younger, when she was a teacher
It is the greatest piece of art I own, my grandmother
A collection of snapshots, bursting with life and color
And the greatest collection I own
