Taboo

His memory
Pressed into the sheets
Found his outline
Within the creases
Guilt tucked under the bed
And I knew
I would slip my feet in one more time
For his name
Became sweet upon the tongue
And the taboo of him
Made me shiver
Twisted in knots, the sheets
Gathered around me
In a confession
And forgiveness
I would save for tomorrow
