Haunt this Morning Light

The morning caught on my tongue
And no matter how many cups
Of coffee I drank down
Your name remained
Scratching in my throat
And it served me right
For the bed had been tumbled
By your ghost
And I was left tiding up
The memories
Tucking them deep within my mind
So I could forget your smile
And your outline
In the morning light
