Fear Over For Dinner (Repost November 2016)

At the dinner table once again
And we all don’t want to look
At its tattered sleeves
Or smudged face
But, it sat there
At the end of the table
Watched each of us
And laughed
Pointing its finger at us
One by one
For it knew
Our weakness
Wasn’t the fact
It sat at the table
But the willful ignorance
We chose
To ignore it
