One More Snowfall

The snow filled my view
As if someone shook a snow globe
Starting small specs
Until they became large confetti
Spinning and whirling
Leaving only white behind
My fingers itched with nervousness
And my Christmas Eve drive
Marred with panic
As the snow kept teasing
And I silently started cursing
Winter had come once again
And I swore someone
Performed a Norwegian snow dance
And I got caught, a spectator
To another snowfall
Holding me hostage once again
