Thank You, Patience

It comes in a deep breath
And the count of ten
I am thankful
When patience
Takes a seat next to me
Holds my hand
Whispers hold on
For one more second
It comes in a soft smile
When standing in the middle
Of a disaster zone
Patience grabs a broom
And says we can do this
It comes in your favorite song
While sitting in a traffic jam
Patience starts to hum
And you find yourself
Singing the main chorus
Patience, I am grateful
For the sanity
You protect
