Viceroy Wannabees

Fake smiles with whitened teeth
Lining up against the all
Blending in to the outlines
For they only wanted to be famous
Copy and paste everyone else’s face
And whisper what you want to hear
So you let them in the front door
Manufactured look, and cardboard stand
They approach the soap box
To take someone else’s fifteen minutes
Absorbing other’s personalities
Formatting mainstream messages
Into their perfect skin
Posing every word
Twisting themselves into compliance
Until we fold them up
Slip them in our wallets
Shoving money in their mouths
And handing over our souls for their profits
