Wind Up

Twist them up
Let them clatter and jump
Along the table
My youth, a handful
Plastic insects, monsters and goose
Clamor in clicking
They rock back and forth
Ambling in circles
Little drunken toys
My youth winds up
For another round
I stumble for the door
Jumping and swaying
Twisting myself up
To let myself go
