My Feet (National Poetry Month Challenge 20)

Remove your shoes. Write a poem that celebrates your feet.

Wiggle toes and stomp
My feet, these feet
Small squares holding me steady
Carrying me across the finish line
Or charging upstairs
My constant transportation
Because I would choose to walk
When exploring downtown
My feet, these feet
Wiggle toes and walk
Stubby little toes squirming in shoes
Peel them off and dance
Dance partners swaying late into the night
Tucking me in
After long days of running errands
Wiggle toes and smile
For these feet are my feet
