Sloth (National Poetry Month Challenge 10)

Write a seven-line poem about one of the 7 Sins that only contains seven words in each of the lines.

Dismissive of concern, it sits in chair
Waiting for the world to change today
And you join it for coffee thinking
Maybe it will finally listen for once
But apathy is noisy with excuses, regrets
With every sip, knowing it won’t budge
So you leave in order to change
