Hiatus (Repost July 2015)

Escape from the day
Shed my routine from my body
Pull that little black dress
From the back corner of the closet
Shift and form
So it hugs every curve
Embrace a new view, new opinion
Leaving my uniform in a crumpled pile
At my feet
For this is a break, a vacation
Leave Monday used and broken on the floor
With the rest of the week in tow
No limitations of time
To crease, age my smile
Smooth my little black dress
Make my way to the door
For this is a new lifetime
Waiting to be explored
