Life Book

Filed my life into a book
Pressed the memories like little flowers
Flattening the petals of my actions
Until the color erupted
And the events bled across blank pages
Created an abstract painting
A mosaic of wonder
That people stopped and took pictures
Once they realized everything wasn’t what it seemed
Camouflaged into the background
With the right twist, I exploded into view
Shining in my exposure, my life glistened
As the pages turned frantically
Watched me dance in the smeared color
Until I became words
And created a lullaby full of life
