Oncoming Rain

Rain finds me
Halfway home
Each drop
Saturates my clothes, my skin
Clings to my hair
Until it hangs in my eyes
Unruly vines
Each droplet swings from
I should be running
Looking for shelter
I am calm
As the world storms
I find patience in every step
Each bead of water
Pulls away my pain
Leaving all my problems
Pooling around my feet
The rain is a lullaby
For the crashing in my soul
That has left me speechless
And my eyes dry
