Love Poem #59

Interesting soul, we met for conversation

Left me dizzy with stories

Engaging eyes, paralyzed within their glance

We spent the afternoon walking circles

In the parking lot of a strip mall

Charisma in hand gestures

Searching, his stories and words

Lost he was in his dark eyes

He had a marvelous disappearing act

Gone from my life by the next full moon

I wondered if he found himself

Folded up in a jacket shoved in the back of his closet

A riddle, continuously unravelling in his own world

Every story had an ending

And every mystery needed to be solved

Maybe, he wasn’t searching for a home

But, a way to remain running from his shadow
