This silent lifestyle
Has been a blessing
And a curse
Vetoing my need to yell
In order to live
Without waves
Has gotten me nothing
But a hunched back
And skinned knees
Closed mouths and quiet tongues
Welcome in armies
To pillage away all your accomplishment
Yes, I feel robbed
Maybe I need to learn to growl
So you will learn, will learn
To see me, to step back
Remember that I am more than a body
To be shoved and trampled
That I am a person
With a name
And not a number for you to throw away
