Morning Companion

Hands palm up, branches

Holding up, gathering emotions

In droplets, dew running down skin

In the morning, I will find you

Resting near the sea

And I will be your nymph

Gathering your words in seashells

Build me a castle in the sand

And I will tell you my name

Collect our time in the wind

And waltz with your shadow

At night, we will depart

You falling back into the sea, fin and all

I will stretch my arms up, palms up

Branches, tickling the moon

Laughter cascading down my skin

As I wait patiently to see you in the morn
